Thomas was born circa 1844 

In 1873 his occupation was a Wine & Spirit Merchant, in 1877 he was a Lacker [sic] Manufacturer

When his daughter married in 1905 she described him as a Timber Merchant

In 1877 the family lived at 83 Main St., Aston, and in 1881 at 91 Main St

 

Sarah was born 2 November 1848 at Wednesfield, STS

Below is a photo of my great grandmother Alice -it was in the form of a postcard sent to her future sister in law and says on the back:-

Dear Ada, Thanks for your very welcome letter I was glad to get it but why did you not send me a photo I am glad to tell you I feel much better, do you know I have been in bed nearly ever since I came back.  Yes dear, I am just longing to see the house Percy [her fiance] has taken, but the time will soon be here now.  I shall be home on the 26th so hope to see you, hope you will like this photo, with love your Algie [her nickname]  Photo taken Oxford July 27 1905
