The church is dedicated to St Mary the Virgin

Below right can be seen the rounded Norman arches, dating from the 12th century. Also in this photo, the spiral staircase leading to the ringing chamber dates from the 17th century.
The tower was built in the 13th century and increased by one storey in the 15th.
Below left, the old altar is still at the east end, but a new one has been added at the west end for greater flexibility.
