died in 1693 when his children were still young-his burial has not been found,
but Probate was granted to his wife on 4 May 1694

BRAIN’S grandfather was probably John BRAYNE of Moreton born circa 1569.
He made his Will shortly before his death in 1601 when he had 2 young
sons- William [born circa 1595], and Thomas [1599], and his wife Marie was
pregnant. Any of these could have
been John’s father. He also had a
daughter Margaret [1597].
