GIBBINS, GIBBONS

William GIBBINS married Eutrecia HICKS at Broadwell, GLS

on 26 September 1741

A possible baptism for William is 30 February 1690 at Stretton

This makes him 25 years older than his wife

He was buried in 1748

Eutrecia was baptised 1 July 1715 at Stretton

Her father was Rector of Stretton which makes it odd that they married in Broadwell, unless they eloped

In his Will, Eutrecia’s father specifically excludes her husband from having any claim upon her inheritance, a very specific exclusion, because he mentions 3 other sons in law to whom he leaves the sale and disposal of cottages and tenements and manuscripts and papers

Eutrecia died at Barcheston, WAR in 1812 at the age of 96

Their children were

Baptist Hickes GIBBINS baptised 11 July 1742

Henry Hickes GIBBINS baptised 24 June 1745

For his marriage and family go to Blockley, WOR

William GIBBINS baptised 27 September 1748

All baptised at Stretton
